Shifting Gears Automotive Rally in San Diego
The shifting Gers Rally for 2022 was our 2nd event put on by the San Diego Automotive Museum of which we are great sponsors, and our General Manager David Young is a Board Member. Again, Honorary Charis were Dr. Perry and Judith Mansfield. Today we took out the 1972 Lamborghini Jarama Dual Sunroof and the 1952 Bentley Mark VI Special Roadster, we took turns as a team swapping cars at a couple of locations. Our first pit stop was the PT. Loma Cabrillo National Monument. This was designed to follow a very special race of 1915 in San Diego during the exposition road race and famed local event. We tried to follow the original route as closely as we could although much has changed in 100 years. The rally ended back at Balaoa Park, where we had a car show and passed out a few trophies.
