Hot Wheels for Kids
What started out as just something fun for the kiddos has evolved into something we are known and for some is something they look forward to it every year…About 6 years ago while attending the local AutoSwap and what then was Qualcomm stadium. We met a guy who had a collection of Hotwheels, over 5,000 to be exact, some Rare, some Unique some very very valuable. Well, we bought his entire lot all 5000 of them with the intention on selling them which as you may know if you've ever done something like that is quite a challenge!!! Packing, Listing and mailing after each eBay sell is not easy, especially for the 1 or 3 dollars these things bring after a month we decided that wasn't to be the case anymore.
We started Hot wheels for Kids, we now take out a box of around 100 or so to virtually every local event we do, not the concours but if it's a fun neighborhood show, cruise night and meet up we bring the hot wheels and let the kids have one, we cant tell you how excited they become knowing they can get a fee Hot wheels from us!! Some kids return every year and remember us from the year before, some kids attend nearly just as many shows as we do and always grab one or two. One very nice young man with special needs finds us out at every show, he loves the cars and his parents say its one of his things that he just has to do!! They follow us on Facebook and always show up when we post if we are in town, even driving 3- to 40 miles out of town to come find us for shows not in the immediate area!!! This is just something Fun and Great we do for the community, the kids love it and so do we!!!
This is just a reminder of how something small for you can be something big for somebody else, we have to keep the Car Hobby alive and Excite the youth…This is just one way we give back at Precious Metals Fine Motor Cars of San Diego
