Quail Motorsports Gathering - August 24, 2018

Attending Quail Motor Sports Gathering for was one of our finest Moments. Our 1969 Lamborghini Islero S took a 1st in Class. At Quail this is quite an achievement as this is second runner up for one of the most elegant car shows during Monterey Car week. Only the best of the best, and only a small handful of no more then 20 winners are hand selected from a field of 400 cars or more. We were greatly honored to be recognized in this caliber of competition showing.

Once again our mornings start out early and we are on the field by 630am. This year was a bit of multiple challenges as you did one of our clients cars we service ed and prepared for the event just weeks before to be shown as well, if it is not tough preparing and positioning one car as you can imagine, two is not much better. Given the early dew detailing was another hurdle but our expertise overcame the obstacles in front of us and the most unfortunate obstacle from behind us as we locked our keys in the truck of the Vehicle brining the show vehicle to the field. YES! That is right! I will admit failure once and only once I cannot believe somehow I closed the door to our Ford F450 with keys sitting on the driver’s seat and the trailer hooked up!!! Moments later an exhausting search to find an early morning locksmith ensued and to our surprise one was available and only cost us 20 minutes or so. Onto the show we went, and the car was in place in time. We luckily escaped and catastrophe and went on to win a top award. We further enjoyed a fun pleasurable day with friends, food and some amazing cars. We look forward to next year again and have begun preparing our 2019 entry now. See you there!
