CORONADO CARS ON MAIN STREET!!! This is one of our favorite local shows, it's just a quick early drive over the bridge with some nice cars every year. I've done that Bridge in a nail biting MG TC, MGB, 1935 LaSalle, a 1959 Arnolt Bristol, and 1934 Rolls Royce but one of the most fun drives over that bridge was in my sweet little 6 cyl 3 speed Half cab Bronco. With a 170ci and about 100hp I wasn't sure how this was going to go, it's not an MG!! Broncos are Trucks and are heavy!!! Weighing in at virtually 4,000 pounds I thought I was pushing the envelope. I had a good run coming off the ramp and got to 65 pretty good over the last mile and hit the Bridge giving it everything its got. I was needless to say totally surprised by the power out of that little 6. It wasn't till the top of the crest did it seem to drop back a mph or two. It wasn't enough to slow me down now!!! Kinda floating down the backside my mechanical brakes also work flawlessly, I pulled into the show got my spot heading back over and grabbed one more, my RestoMod Bronco and it had no issues.

We spent the day in the park as usual our top car was 1967 Ferrari GTC which just came off a recent win in Pasadena at the FCA event and scored 98.8 Points. We figured had a shot at Best in Show, but a original Cobra that was original to Coronado and belonging to a local from new was understandably the winner. We however were awarded a 1st place and coming off a previous years Mayors choice we were still very very happy. Now that Bill and his Cobra have retired I think next year is going to be interesting.
